Go Green Car-free Morning in Kuala Lumpur 吉隆坡無車日

前陣子在臉書看到一個中國報的報導連結，說從2014年1月5日起，吉隆坡市政局將于每個月首個星期日，早上7時30分至9時30分推展“綠色無車早晨”，禁止車輛駛入吉隆坡金三角一帶8條要道。

“綠色無車早晨”計畫所涉及的路段全場約6公里，包括拉惹勞勿路、蘇丹依斯邁路、安邦路、比南利路、檳榔路、拉惹朱蘭路、燕美路及端姑阿都拉曼路。屆時，只有步行者、晨跑者、騎腳踏車者、使用滑板或滑輪鞋者，被允許在相關路段活動。

吉隆坡開埠之父— 葉亞來 (Yap Ah Loy)

1873年3月，葉亞來成為吉隆坡甲必丹（captain），掌管地方政令，故有“吉隆坡王”的稱號，一直到1880年還政於英殖民政府為止。在這七年期間，吉隆坡從光復時的十二間茅屋，擴建到四百多間店屋。葉亞來從蘆骨、芙蓉以至中國召募了數千名華工，從事土地開發。

葉亞來的功績是多方面的，除了保衛吉隆坡外，在建設吉隆坡方面，更是居功厥偉，其中包括開礦築路，維持治安與引進勞工，以及種植開墾等。 “茨廠街”名字的由來，源自葉亞來在當地（現茨廠街豐隆銀行所在）設立了木茨加工廠之故。
